‘Top Chef’ judge Colicchio on GMOs, and his food activism — MSNBC:
The opening panel on Sunday’s Melissa Harris-Perry delved into genetically-modified organisms (GMOs) in the culinary industry, and corporations like Monsanto that are seeking to profit from it. After taking part in that (at times) contentious discussion, Craft Restaurants founder Tom Colicchio took some time to share more thoughts with MSNBC.com on that topic and more. Known also for his work as the head judge on Bravo’s hit competition show Top Chef, Colicchio discusses what it means to be a “food activist,” and his desire for GMO labeling.
