Respect for Mother Nature Committee of WA

Petition hand-out Wednesdays: grab 1 or more & get signatures. At main libraries in Seattle (12 - 3) & Bellevue (4:30 - 5:30).

Unfortunately, GMOlabeling lost in '13 & why RMNCW is offering a compromise initiative. One that'll give food producers option of having GMO disclosure be on nutrition facts label, but it is a long statement.

We will need 200 volunteer FIELD REPRESENTATIVES to get 500 signatures each between Feb. 1, 14 - July 1, 14, & 400 DELEGATES to get 300 sigs., and 800 CIRCULATORS to get 150. They'll be easy to get, because this is a popular idea. For now, you would get one petition from us in which you will have to keep blank as your model copy, and then make copies for actual signatures at your own expense. For 500 signatures, this would cost no more than $12 or so, and of course less than that for less signatures. Sorry, but this will be a shoestrings operation at the beginning, but as it gets stronger, we expect to get financial support and backing. General volunteer workers also needed (no signature quota). If interested, please, write back as soon as possible to be placed on the volunteers list. Also, please, help out w/$10 contribution to the Respect for Mother Nature Comm. of WA for petition printing costs and signature gatherer recruitment.
