Anti-GMO measure could go to Benton voters: "A judge has cleared the way for petitioners to begin collecting signatures for an anti-GMO ballot measure in Benton County.
Backed by the Benton County Community Rights Coalition, the Local Food System Ordinance would bar genetically modified crops and patented seeds; require farmers to destroy any such crops or seeds; and assert a local right to self-determination aimed at preventing the state or federal government from overturning the ordinance."
