The Anti-Media: What is the expected turnout for Saturday? How many countries are participating?
Tami Canal: The 3rd global March Against Monsanto (MAM) is expected to be the biggest one yet. With 43 countries on 6 continents, MAM has coordinated 366 official events, with countless others not officially registered.
AM: Has interest in March Against Monsanto grown since the first march in May 2013?
TC: The interest and awareness has grown tremendously this year. We have seen many positives in the movement this year including the recent legislature in Vermont as well as the 2 Oregon counties who truly battled the Goliath biotech industry and overcame the odds and financial power of companies like Monsanto to pass a GMO ban. In addition, big corporations like Walmart are realizing the people do not want toxic food, and the shift can be felt as more of a move towards organic is happening.
