Editorial: Take time to consider statewide measures: "• Measure 27 (Requires labels on genetically engineering foods): No recommendation. The editorial board was split over this measure. Consumers have a right to know what is in the foods they are eating and the processes involved in making those products. However, the details of enforcing this measure are cumbersome and could cause harm to Oregon's fragile economy. The time has come for this issue to be taken more seriously by our national regulatory agencies."
