Oregon Right to Know | 90 days away from when ballots will be mailed across Oregon

Oregon Right to Know

Can you believe it? On Thursday we'll be just 90 days away from when ballots will be mailed across Oregon. That means that in 90 days, voting begins on what could be the first ever successful ballot initiative to mandate labeling for genetically engineered food in the United States.

This is a crucial deadline for the GMO labeling movement -- both in Oregon and for our entire country. We have the opportunity to hold big chemical companies accountable for the products they produce and to make sure we ALL know what we’re eating.

But we can’t do it without your help. Initiatives to label genetically engineered foods in California in 2012 and Washington in 2013 came close to success, but those efforts were ultimately overwhelmed when the likes of Monsanto and Coca Cola outspent labeling advocates almost 3-to-1 in the last 90 days of the campaign. We need to be prepared to fight back when Big Food dumps unlimited funds into the race -- that's why we've set a goal of $50,000 raised before our big 90 Days Out deadline.

Click here to rush $25 to stand up to Big Food before Thursday’s deadline!

We have the opportunity to show deep-pocketed agribusiness giants like Monsanto we’re not backing down -- but we’ve got to shore up our defenses before we hit the 90 Days Out deadline.

This really matters. We have the right to know what we’re eating and what we’re feeding our kids. Monsanto wants to keep us in the dark, and they have the funds to do it -- IF we don’t fight back

Rush $25 by midnight Thursday to show Monsanto that we’re not backing down! We can win this fight -- but only if we all pitch in before it’s too late.

Thanks,

Paige Richardson
