"Consumers would pay higher food costs. In fact, a recent study estimated that Measure 27's labeling scheme would cost an average family of four an additional $550 a year." Clinton Reeder, PhD, Former Professor of Agricultural Economics, Oregon State University

In 2012, California voters were told a family of four would spend $400 per year if the GMO labeling proposition passed.

In 2013, Washington voters were told a family of four would spend $450 per year if the GMO labeling initiative passed.

This year Oregon and Colorado voters will be told a family of four would spend $500 per year if the GMO labeling bills are passed.

All the above figures were arrived at from studies paid for by industry opposed to labeling GMO products. Why was the study in 2002 higher than the studies in 2012-2014?
