PBS Boycott: KCTS 9 Response Email to Member (2)

Show Details | KCTS 9 - Public Television:

Dear Florence,

As you may know, KCTS 9 has become the target of an organized campaign by anti-GMO activists who claim that the QUEST episode “Next Meal: Engineering Food” is "pro-GMO" and/or funded by corporations, especially those that benefit from GMO crops. The program is neither. It is a journalistic piece that explores the science behind genetic engineering while including multiple perspectives on the issue. Funder credits are included in the show.

We encourage viewers to watch the full program and judge it on its own merits, rather than on the opinion of others. The program airs on Wednesday, 10/30, at 7:30 pm, and it’s available for viewing online here: http://science.kqed.org/.../next-meal-engineering-food/.

Our goal is to provide relevant, informative content for our viewers and allow viewers to make their own decisions based on the information presented. Thank you for your message. It's important to hear your feedback.

You may be interested in our other collaborative reporting project, EarthFix, and its reports on Initiative 522 and GMOs: http://www.earthfix.info/tagged/GMO/.
